Microsoft Great Plains Integration Manager is to certain extend end-user tool and
you can get appropriate training to become familiar and comfortable with GP IM,
however at some point you need to be familiar with IM advanced techniques, and how
to get help in the case if you need it
. Simple Integration. This is when you have text (preferably tab delimited file, not
comma delimited, because in some cases you customer or vendor description will
include comma characters). You build your initial query upon text file and then you
select your destination: Sales Order Processing, Customer Master, Vendor Master are
ones of the most popular destinations. If simple integration works Ok for you, this
is great and you are positioned to go ahead and put it into production
. ODBC integration. This is where you would like to do some tricks, good example is
GL transactions integration one source - here you would like to aggregate GL header

programming - some GP technical training and business logic exposure might be
recommended
